ColourPop Clap If You Believe & Tinkerbell Glossy Lip Stains Reviews & Swatches

by Joseph K. Clark

Clap If You Believe

ColourPop Clap If You Believe Glossy Lip Stain ($8.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a darker coral with moderate, warm undertones and a lightly sparkly cream finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a smooth, gel-like cream consistency spread quickly over my lips.

A bit of product settled into my deeper lip lines, though it was barely noticeable in person. It wore well for four and a half hours, left a subtle stain behind, and lightly moisturized.

ColourPop

It’s supposed to have the “long-lasting powers of a lip stain” with the “shine of a gloss” paired with “medium to buildable coverage” that is “non-drying.” The initial texture was almost watery and overly spreadable (and the applicator often picked up more product than necessary, so take care during application). Still, it dried down to a more satiny shine that was less glossy and more like a satin lipstick with somclaritycy.

The initial shine wore off within two hours, so it looked like an authentic satin finish–this was true of doing nothing or just taking a drink of glass as it wasn’t transfer-resistantLeft to their own devices, most shades wore around six hours with a faint stain left behind. The color did not power through a meal and tended to leave a solid ring around the edges of my lips as it wore away so quickly while eating.

It had medium, buildable coverage but quickly built to more semi-opaque coverage without an official second layer (just going back and forth to get an even product layer). Some shades were more faithful to medium, and others were more semi-opaque from the first layer.

There didn’t seem to be any added fragrance or taste while worn.

Tinkerbell

ColourPop Tinkerbell Glossy Lip Stain ($8.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a darker pink with moderate, warm undertones and faint sparklstrewedwn through a more cream-like finish. Its opaque color coverage applied smoothly and evenly across my lips but settled into my lip lines.

The texture was lightweight, like a gel-like cream with some substance but good glide. It stayed on well for five hours and left behind a light, reddish-brown stan and felt lightly hydrating over time.
