As shimmery and metallic as it was, the finish was more flattering to my lips (and lip lines) than I expected. I’d say that was due to the more emollient, luminous finish with shine and a slight glossiness, but the overall texture was lightly tacky, so it stayed in place better. It had opaque color coverage, wore well for five hours, and felt lightly hydrating.

The formula is supposed to be “hydrating” with “eight-hour” wear that is available in three finishes (sheer, cream, and matte). The cream and matte shades finish highly pigmented, while the light finish is more medium and buildable in coverage.
The texture of the cream finish was lightly creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or thick, so they applied comfortably, evenly, and flattering on lips. The matte finish was slightly more comprehensive and “heavier” in comparison, though still lightweight to wear, and it had more of a satin finish that wore down to matte after an hour or two. The sheer finish was more emollient and had a shinier finish with translucency but wasn’t so thin that all the shades would look the same.
Most shades did not last eight hours on me, though the wear was between four and six hours, with most mid-depth and deeper shades lasting five to six hours and the lighter shades and sheer finish shades staying closer to four hours. The formula was hydrating across all three finishes.
A noticeable, powdery floral scent translated slightly into a taste at times. It was a more robust scented product, and I smelled it for a few hours into the wear, not just in the tube or when initially applied.

Lancome Sienna Ultime (120) L’Absolu Rouge Hydrating Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark pink-leaning coral base with lighter, peachy gold pearl woven throughout. The base color was creamier, which disguised some of the pearls, so it did not appear fully metallic as some other shades in the range have.
The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and had a light slip, which helped it glide across my lips comfortably, but there was a hint of tackiness that helped keep the product in place and out of my lip lines. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on well for five hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
